Jaden Heard, Staff Writer
My name is Jaden Heard and I’m a junior here at Apopka High School. I was born and raised in Florida and don’t really have any intention to leave any time soon. My family travels a lot so I get to see and experience lots of different things. Just last summer, my family and I went to New York City for the first time. I’ve also been to some cool places outside the U.S: Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos, etc. I’m in a few clubs at school, Latin Club, Beta Club, and I joined the National Honor Society this year. I’m also in the Medical Magnet Program and really love it. Latin has been one of the classes I’ve enjoyed the most throughout high school. I’ve met some of my closest friends in Latin. I joined the Newspaper staff mostly because I love to write. Writing is one of my favorite hobbies. I am totally a paper-pen person over typing and computers, and that also goes for reading. Reading is another thing I love doing and I prefer paper books. Some of my favorite genres of books are mystery, thriller, and dystopian. I really loved the books The Giver, Percy Jackson, and The Heartwood Box.
