Apopka Drama Club
Overview:
- In Drama Club, students visit other high schools, watch plays, have movie nights in the theatre, put together events, host workshops for members in all areas of theatre, and help students choose performance and design pieces to submit at the Thespian District Fall Festival.

Art Club
Overview:
- Art Club allows students to work on their art and be with others who share interests in their creativity.

- The Art club plans to host an Open Studio as a chance to make art. They also paint faces on Crazy Blue and White Day, a tradition that began in 1978.

ASIA Club
Overview:
- The ASIA club invites any student who is willing to invest their time in understanding Asian Culture to experience Asian cultural activities, foods, and games! This club is unique to AHS in the fact that it provides volunteering opportunities outside of APK and Apopka.

- Meetings are scheduled for the 1st Tuesday of each month.

- The ASIA board will be planning several fun activities, such as a hot noodle challenge, for members to enjoy. They also have plans to organize a Multicultural Festival for the first time in APK history!

Key Club
Overview:
- Key Club is an international service organization that focuses on community service and leadership, making it a great way to earn service hours.

Latin Club
Overview:
- Through club activities, the Latin Club explores Roman civilization on a personal, less academic level. “In short, we have fun, have food, and a common bond!”- Mrs.Katz (Latin teacher)

- They have monthly events that are for fun, such as an ice cream social and a Uno tournament; they also have regular meetings for students who are competing in regionals to work on their projects and study for upcoming tests.
Student Experience
- “I’ve been in the Latin Club for three years now and enjoy every second of it. We do a lot of events, and everyone’s super friendly. Even though it’s technically a language club, that’s not all we do. We host parties and games to learn about Roman culture. Battle of the Books
Overview:
- Battle of the Books is a great opportunity to discuss different forms of literature. Their club goal is to read the books recommended for Florida teens.

- Starting in November, Battle of the Books meets once a month up until March.

- Members plan on participating in the BOTB competitions. In 2022, they placed 2nd, and in 2023, they placed 3rd in the district!

Overview:
- Step 2 Med is a great opportunity to explore different medical fields. They have had guest speakers ranging from EMTs to physicians.

Jararrium
Overview:
- Jarrarium Club breeds Opae Ula shrimp for the club to use in its jars. Mr. Fairchild makes sure to dim the lights, put out candles, and stream Netflix on the SMARTboard in hopes for the shrimp to breed.

Karaoke
Overview:
- Share your voice with APK at Karaoke Club! An informal chorus, the karaoke club offers a chance for students and staff to show off their amazing voices.

- Karaoke will have its first meeting on 9/18 at 414 North Campus.

- Karaoke will work to keep the lyrics clean in all performed songs and invite teachers and staff to show off their “real or imagined” musical skills.
I Design
Overview:
- Students learn about design by using Adobe software and other types of tools to be creative. The skills in design with creative experience and critical thinking will empower students to be creative in a creative environment with others who share the same passion and skills.

Upcoming Agenda:
- I-Design offers an open studio feel. Each student has different skills and background knowledge so they have the opportunity to explore them and work together. Ms. Goldie (Club sponsor) guides students with projects throughout the year.
Fashion Club
Overview:
- Students should join the fashion club to meet peers who are interested in fashion and design, learn about different fashion trends and fabrics, and even design their pieces!

- The Fashion Club hopes to organize an end-of-the-year fashion show to showcase members’ original designs. The club also plans to host DIY workshops to upcycle old clothes and participate in clothes drives to help give back to the community.

ESports
Overview:
- Esports hopes to build momentum with their teams and club in anticipation of next year housed under Athletics at the district. They offer four teams: Mario Kart, Splatoon 3, Super Smash Bros., and Rocket League which students can try out and later compete in.

Debate
Overview:
- Step into a world of argument and competition as you prepare for public speaking and debating. Apopka’s Debate has gone to the National level and has offered opportunities to travel across the country!
