Shila Gillis, Staff Writer
Hi! My name is Shila Gillis and this is my first year as a staff writer for The Blue and White. I am a junior at AHS and take pride in my academic and extracurricular involvement. If I'm not at a club meeting after school, I’m most likely at cheer practice. You’ll be able to see me in the pep rallies on Friday mornings and at Friday night football games. I am in my third year of the medical magnet and make the daily trek to the north campus. Despite the long walk, they are my favorite courses offered at the school. Outside of school, I listen to music regularly. My music taste is vast, but my Spotify playlist consists of artists like Tomorrow X Together and Seventeen.
As part of The Blue and White, my goal is to inform Apopka High about the latest events and bring school activities into the spotlight. In my role as a staff writer, I hope to help students share their passions with the public. Overall, I am excited for a great year and look forward to writing captivating articles for all to enjoy.
