Olivia Horn, Staff Writer
Hi, I'm Olivia Horn. I'm a junior here at Apopka High, and this is my first year on the newspaper staff. Writing is one of my favorite hobbies, so I wanted to join the newspaper after finishing creative writing. Some other interests of mine include reading, history, and art— I enjoy looking at it more than I do creating it. My favorite poet is Ocean Vuong, and as of late, my favorite book is The Poppy War. I'm not much of a gamer, but I have recently been obsessed with Stardew Valley because it reminds me of Animal Crossing. I’m an officer for Apopka’s ASIA club and a part of the Latin club and class. I’ve taken Latin since my freshman year, and it has been one of the most enjoyable parts of high school so far. I'm also an avid music listener. My music taste includes everything from Indie to K-pop. However, I refuse to listen to country music. My goal for this year is to become more knowledgeable by covering topics unknown to me. Lastly, I hope to write fun and engaging stories.
