Brady Braun is a junior here at Apopka High School. The Blue and White interviewed her about her favorite things, her school life, and what she plans to do after high school.
What grade are you in?
11th grade.
What is your favorite class this year?
Either Art History or AP Drawing.
Are you in any clubs or do you participate in any extracurricular activities?
I’m in FFA, I’m the president of Terrarium Club, and I’m in Art Club.
Is there a teacher who has made a good impact on you while you’ve been here at Apopka High School?
I’d say Mr. Houvouras. I feel like he’s supported my passion as an artist and let me feel like it’s less of a hobby and more like an actual talent.
Are there any students that have made an impact on you?
Shila Gillis, Olivia Horn, and Cecil Phan. I love them. We have been friends since sixth grade.
What do you like to do outside of school?
Mostly drawing I’d say. I really like clothes too, like thrifting and doing research. I like fashion, history, and reading.
Do you have a favorite book?
I’d say the Little Prince. I feel like it’s a book that anyone can read and the message always comes through. It’s just simple and I feel like everyone can enjoy and get value out of it.
What are your strategies that help you get through tough times at school or in general?
I feel like the most important thing is just to take everything one period at a time. Not spiraling and going too far ahead into the future. I also always think, “what’s the best case scenario?” “What’s the worst case scenario?” “What’s the most likely outcome when I’m in a certain situation and I’m spiraling and I like to just relax.

What is your favorite TV show or movie?
Community. I like the concept, the execution, and everything about it. The cast like it just done so perfectly and I feel like it was just so good. And it has Donald Glover in it. We love him.
What are your plans for after high school?
I would really like to go to UF and study entomology (a zoology branch of the scientific study of insects) and hopefully do research for the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) and do research about the impact on either agriculture or the environment and do like environmental science but the backup is art restoration.
