Ms. McDonald is one of the spectacular art teachers at Apopka High. She is the amazing wacky-haired teacher who is the only one to teach 3-D art. She loves her school and the connections that are able to be made in this community.

How has your time been at the school?

Fantastic. I absolutely love it here.

What are your favorite hobbies?

My favorite hobby is painting on Magic The Gathering cards because I’m a total nerd.

What is your favorite memory from the school?

Oh, there’s so many that’s so hard to choose. Probably end-of-quarter celebrations, when you guys turn in all of your projects then we get to have a little party. I think that’s the most fun.

How would you describe yourself?

Fun. I would hope.

Are you involved in any clubs this year?

I am the mentor for the Fashion Club and for the D&D Club.

What are you looking forward to this year?

Everything, but mostly getting to know all my new students and hanging out more with my older students.

What is your favorite part about Apopka?

The community, like everybody gets to know everyone and makes friends and I love it here

What led you to this job?

I always loved teaching. So when I hit college and somebody said you can learn to do that for a living, I was like, oh, that sounds fantastic.

What are some facts about yourself?

Ooh, facts about myself. You’ll never see me with naturally colored hair, and I love art, obviously.
